Celebrating International Women's Day 2022 with the Energy Geographies Research Group

March 8 2022

This year’s International Women’s Day theme is #BreakTheBias, imagining a gender equal world free of bias, stereotype and discrimation, a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive, and where difference is valued and celebrated.

The Energy Geographies Research Group is marking #IWD2022 by highlighting the work of women in energy research and those working on more inclusive, sustainable energy futures.

We found that 80% of our executive committee members are women, and wanted to highlight the broader work of women in energy who are committed to #BreakTheBias in their respective roles.

As we celebrate #IWD2022 & #WomensHistoryMonth, we've also been highlighting our recent Energy, Gender & Space Webinar series in collaboration with the Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group.

In this series you have the chance to get to know many incredible women leading the way towards more inclusive energy scholarship.

You can find recordings of all our past webinars on this site and on our YouTube channel (link below).
